Lego has now become very closely linked with movies as this is the main type of synergy used

When lego started they used to only make lego sets and that was the only way you could play with lego

Now it is not video games are also a massive amount of how people play with lego

Parasocial: One-sided relationships, where one person uses emotional energy, interest and time, and the other party, the persona, is completely unaware of the other's existence.

Why do companies and games release at the same time? 

Profit it maximised 
Familiarity 
Extends the pleasure of the film 
They promote each other 
It extends the target audience 

Cross media content 

When media content is accessible across many different media outlets and devises such as cinema or a streaming service or xbox or playstation. you can also access it through lego playlets or DVDs an example is on Blue ray

Content releasing to one media text that is released, watchable, marketed, purchasable and playable across different media platforms.
